We’re gearing up for an exciting conference season and can’t wait to connect with our community at two major events this spring. First, we’ll be heading to Minneapolis for the ACRL 2025 Conference, where we’ll join academic librarians and scholars to discuss the latest in research integrity, publishing trends, and how libraries can support responsible scholarship. Then, we’re off to Vienna, Austria for AACSB’s International Conference and Annual Meeting (ICAM) 2025, where business educators and accreditation leaders from around the world will gather to explore the critical issues defining the relevance and impact of business education today. As always, we’re looking forward to insightful discussions, new collaborations, and sharing how Cabells’ tools can help navigate the ever-changing scholarly publishing landscape.
ACRL 2025: “Democratizing Knowledge, Access, and Opportunities”

After several years away, we are thrilled to return to the Association of College Research Libraries (ACRL) annual conference to once again connect in-person with the academic library community and share the many updates and enhancements we’ve made to our platforms. ACRL has been a vibrant space for knowledge exchange, and we’re eager to engage with the librarians, educators, and researchers who play a crucial role in supporting scholarly publishing and research integrity. Since our last ACRL conference, Cabells has made significant strides in refining our Journalytics and Predatory Reports platforms, equipping institutions with even more powerful tools to evaluate journals, identify predatory practices, and ensure their researchers engage with reputable and impactful publications.

Our recent developments have introduced enhanced metrics, improved search functionalities, and the integration of our Journalytics and Predatory Reports (which will soon include over 20,000 deceptive journals) platforms. At ACRL, we look forward to showcasing our resources, answering and asking questions, and having great conversations. We know how vital academic libraries are in safeguarding research integrity, and we are excited to share how Cabells can help further that mission.
2025 ICAM: Amplify Your Impact
Following ACRL, we will be in Vienna for AACSB ICAM 2025 to highlight our ongoing work developing and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals Impact Intensity (SDGIITM) journal rating system in partnership with David Steingard and his team at Saint Joseph’s University. The SDGII has become a valuable tool for business schools and researchers looking to align their work with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and we are proud to continue refining and expanding its capabilities.

This year’s ICAM will be especially exciting as Simon Linacre marks his return to Cabells, joining David to present the latest developments in SDGII and discuss how business schools can better measure the real-world impact of their research. Simon’s deep expertise (more from Simon soon!) in scholarly publishing and research integrity, combined with David’s leadership in impact measurement, will make for an insightful and engaging conference. We look forward to sharing how SDGII is helping institutions evaluate journals based on their contributions to global sustainability and shaping conversations around responsible research assessment.
Both ACRL and ICAM provide incredible opportunities to engage with our partners, colleagues, and friends in academia, and we’re excited and fortunate to attend. Whether it’s discussing how libraries can use Journalytrics and Predatory Reports to discover quality journals and combat misinformation or how business schools can leverage SDGII to showcase their research impact, we look forward to exchanging ideas, learning from attendees, and strengthening our commitment to research integrity.
If you’ll be attending ACRL in Minneapolis or ICAM in Vienna, please stop by and connect with our team – we’d love to learn how we can support your institution’s research and publishing goals. See you there!
